For drummers who practise on a pad

You can’t feel where
your edge is.

Don’t repeat your
mistakes faster.

Alone on a pad, your feel lags your ability. one&a hears every take and makes the call — repeat, move up, or step back — and the coaching runs through Claude, which you connect yourself.

Push the edge of control instead. one&a hears every take and makes the call — repeat, move up, or step back — and the coaching runs through Claude, which you connect yourself.

How it works

Four steps. One honest next move.

01

Play on your pad

Your phone's microphone listens while you play naturally.

02

Every hit measured

one&a checks the timing and evenness of each stroke. Honest numbers — when it can’t hear you cleanly, it says so instead of guessing.

03

Coach it in Claude

Connect one&a to Claude and reach your takes and sessions from inside it. Ask what to do next — repeat, move up or step back — from your actual playing.

04

Next session on your pad

Set it up in Claude, and it’s waiting when you pick up the sticks.

What it does

Measured, not guessed

Honest measurement

Timing and evenness of every stroke, from your phone’s mic. Nothing to wire up.

Your clean tempo, tracked

The fastest tempo you can still play consistently. one&a finds it and shows how it moves, session to session.

It tells you when it can’t tell

If the audio isn’t clean enough to score, it says so instead of guessing. It measures timing and evenness — it won’t judge your grip or musicality. That’s your teacher’s job.

The open part

Coached through Claude — you’re driving

The pad app measures — that part’s solid. The coaching is the open part. You already use Claude; connect one&a to it, and you reach your takes, sessions and exercises from inside Claude: ask what to work on from your actual playing, and set up your next session before you pick up the sticks.

The pad measures. You and Claude decide.

How far a tool like Claude can take your practice is genuinely what I’m finding out — come find out with me.

Honest by design

No guesses dressed up as coaching.

  • If the audio can't be trusted, one&a says so.
  • One score and one thing to fix — not a wall of numbers.
  • Timing and dynamics on a practice pad. Your grip, posture and musicality stay with your teacher.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What is a “clean tempo”?
The fastest tempo where your timing is still consistent enough to build good habits. one&a finds it, tracks it and helps you raise it.
When does one&a tell me to speed up?
When your recent takes show stable timing at the current tempo. If accuracy falls apart after a jump, it steps you back.
Do I need a drum kit?
No. A practice pad, sticks and your phone are enough. To sign in you’ll need a Google account (Google-only for now), and for the coaching side, a Claude account.
Will the AI just give me wrong advice?
The measurement isn’t AI guessing: your timing and evenness are measured on the pad, and when the mic can’t hear you cleanly, it says so instead of scoring. The coaching is a conversation you drive in Claude, from your real takes — not a verdict. And it won’t replace your teacher.
What does Claude see?
You connect one&a to Claude yourself. From inside Claude you reach your own takes, sessions and exercises, so the coaching works from what you actually played. You’re driving the conversation.
Is the beta really free?
Yes — every feature, no card. Free while it’s this early.
